We would like to clear the water by what exactly we mean by "managing" and "updating" your website, along with some examples below.
Managing your website is simply us hosting it on our DigitalOcean servers based in London. With this comes some perks, listed below.
Updating your website is bringing the hardware and software driving your website up to date and ensuring the latest versions of WordPress and custom plugins are installed. This is important for security ensuring there are no loopholes and everything is patched to the latest versions.
Included
Hosting
Included with the hosting plan, is of course the hosting itself. Hosting is your files being hosted on our server. This takes resources, and it is essentially your "digital parking space".
Initial Install
We include the initial install of WordPress and WooCommerce on all websites that we build.
Updates
Once WordPress and WooCommerce is installed, as well as any other paid features (customized scripts, addons etc.), we will make sure they are always up to date to their latest versions.
Backups
We will take backups of your website daily. This is a huge security plus. Should anything go wrong, you can be assured there's a backup on our secure servers.
SSL Certificate & Renewal
SSL is now the industry-standard and they come included with the hosting package. They will always be renewed for free, too.
Security Scans
We perform security and malware scans on your website, we can also track basic traffic information.
Database Optimization
We will make sure your database is always optimized and working optimally.
Not Included
Updates (functionality / appearance)
If you need further changes making to your website in terms of editing, removing, adding content, and whether that is functionality, design or content, this is not included.
Photo Editing
Any kind of photo editing as well as uploading photos and pictures to the website certainly is not included with our package.
Logo Design
We will ask you in the discovery phase whether or not you'd like a logo creating so that we can include it with the initial price. We cannot make you any logos later included with the hosting package. Please see our logo pricing here.
Anything else not listed in the "included" list...
We cannot list absolutely everything that isn't included here. If you request something of us and we feel that it is not included with your package, we will let you know.
